The ICARES Project
ICARES is a technical Remote Sensing project approved by the Two Seas Interreg Programme. Kent Downs and 11 partners from Southampton, Belgium, France and Holland will work together to promote improved use of Remote Sensing Tehnologies, especially aircraft based sensoring, in nature, agricultural and water management sectors.
Partner expertise includes comerical companies, regulatory experts, and university experts. The project has €3.2 million over 3 years to improve organisational capacity and expertise to better use RS technologies. In Kent work will focus on LIDAR surveys, demonstration days and landscape education engagement.
