Stubbs Wood Country Park
Stubbs Wood is perched on the Greensand Ridge with superb views over the Weald and Bough Beech reservoir. English oak and beech dominate the woodland, although holly, whitebeam, ash, chestnut, hazel and rowan are also present. Unusually for Kent there are some areas of heathland with heather, bilberry, bracken, heath bedstraw, wavy hair grass and heath speedwell. In the areas of ancient woodland you can find a wide range of species including bluebell, wood sorrel, yellow archangel and ramsons.
