Woodland Trust site. Good views grassland and mainly broad-leaved woodland. Special wildlife interest.
The Mount is the most prominent feature of Perry Wood, offering a panoramic view of the area. The 150 acres of woodland are designated as a Local Nature Reserve and are full of wildlife. The sweet chestnut trees are coppiced to encourage the growth of wild flowers such as bluebells and wood sage. Easy access route and plenty of woodland trails.
There is a picnic site and car park just by the cross roads. Nearest train station is Selling Station which is about 1.5 miles away.
