Kent Downs Countryside Engagement and Enjoyment - Head  for the Hills Project Officer

 

1 year fixed term, full time, maternity cover.

               

2018 is the 50th Anniversary of the designation of the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the 40th Anniversary of the opening of the North Downs Way. It’s a big year for us and we’re delighted to say that we have secured funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund to help us celebrate. We have arranged an exciting programme of events and activities – we hope that you will join us to lead the celebration.

 

Your primary role will be to coordinate, deliver and review the Head for the Hills events celebration and outreach activities across the beautiful landscapes of the Kent Downs. We want to make sure the events are fun and engaging so that we can use feedback to assist us in setting the future vision for the Kent Downs AONB though the review our Management Plan. You will help us to and engage diverse people and communities in the extraordinary heritage of the Kent Downs AONB and North Downs Way National Trail in their significant anniversary years.

 

You will be employed through Kent County Council – on the KCC KR 8 Scale (£24,791- £28,412).
