Kent Downs AONB Unit is piloting a project to help farmers, landowners and rural businesses who are seeking to make a change to their land management or business. A simple and practical approach, this will provide timely advice which will help lead to changes that are financially viable, environmentally sound and acceptable in planning terms.

If you are thinking of making changes, diversifying, or are interested in receiving advice to support your business or landholding, you could be eligible to receive a free Action Plan. This brings together your ideas, and advice from the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Service (FWAG) on countryside, landscape and environmental issues, from Business Link Kent on all elements of business planning, and advice from a Planning Consultant on the Planning context.

The Kent Downs Rural Coordinator, Jenny Bate, will arrange for the specialist advisors to visit you and then bring their recommendations together in an Action Plan which you will be able to use to take your proposal(s) forward. To find out more on how the project could help you, contact:
